Ways to Give to the trinitarians
There are many ways to give to the Trinitarians.

Gifts of Cash

• Call our toll free number at
1-800-448-4889 to make a contribution using VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express.

• Mail your contribution check, payable to The Trinitarians, to the following address: The Trinitarians, P.O. Box 5719, Baltimore, MD 21282-0719.

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Please ask your employer or your spouse’s employer if they offer a matching gift program. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. Obtain the necessary forms from your employer, and after filling them out, send them to us with your contribution. We will take it from there.

Electronic Funds Transfer

You can arrange for an automatic debit to your bank account or charge to your credit card each month for a specified amount. You may terminate this agreement at any time.

To participate in this monthly giving program download our Direct Giving forms or contact us at treasurer@trinitarians.org.

Charitable Gift Annuity

A Charitable Gift Annuity is a tool used my many of our friends to donate a gift of money to the Trinitarians in exchange for guaranteed fixed payments for life. The tax benefits are significant, but the greatest benefit most of our annuitants realize is the satisfaction of helping the Trinitarians continue our mission of preparing young men for the priesthood and religious life.

What is a Charitable Gift Annuity?
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a simple, contractual agreement in which you transfer assets to the Trinitarians in exchange for our promise to pay fixed payments to you or to you and another individual for life. The annuity rate depends on your age on the day the annuity begins and will remain the same during the life of the agreement.

For a period of years, based on a government table of life expectancies, a portion of each payment received is considered a nontaxable return of your investment in the gift. This increases your after-tax dollars available for spending or investing.

Annuity Rates
Annuity rates are higher for older annuitants and lower for younger annuitants, based on life expectancy. As a result, gift annuity contracts are generally more appealing to older donors because they receive a higher rate of return. However, younger annuitants also find security in knowing they will receive guaranteed payments for life.

Annuity rates are also adjusted according to the number of annuitants, with rates for two-life contracts are often lower due to the extended life expectancy. The age of an annuitant is the age reached at the nearest birthday when the contract is made, and rates are the same for men and women.

Charitable gift annuities are an excellent means of accomplishing your philanthropic goals and gaining substantial tax benefits. However, before establishing a charitable gift annuity, it is recommended that you consult knowledgeable tax and legal professionals.

Every gift is greatly appreciated.
